The Legend 41DS (Deck Saloon) is an incredibly comfortable boat - with massive interior space and headroom. Excellent forepeak cabin layout, with ensuite heads and shower, and 2 aft double cabins with another heads and separate shower. The saloon table drops to form another large double, and the galley has plenty of storage, a large fridge and corian worktops. All hatches have double insect and black out screens, and the large saloon windows have blinds for sun shade and privacy. Huge water stowage capabilities, means that you will not be filling up very often! But let's face it, outside is the place to be, and Tranquillity has the Legend trademark stainless steel arch which gives a great sense of safety and easy sail control, the boom staying safely out of the cockpit. With the two double pushpit mounted seats which are great for relaxing or keeping an eye on the crew, and large deck areas for sunbathing, there's plenty of space outside too. She is a mainsail driven boat, so no heavy jib sheets to fight with means the crew enjoy the sailing as well!
The following review is taken from Sailing Today magazine (Issue 142) following a weeks charter of Tranquillity in the Ionian by the magazine editor - Duncan Kent:
"Tranquillity was a 2008 launched Legend 41DS, which was superbly equipped for cruising and stopping at anchor. The DS models (Deck Saloon) are light, spacious and pleasant to live aboard for long periods without getting on top of each other. Features such as sprung mattresses are a real treat for those who are not keen on the usual foam equivalents. Sadly as with almost every other boat I have chartered, the domestic batteries were struggling. NOTE: additional domestic power has been added for 2009, along with a smart charging system to provide ample domestic power.
