The Ionian is a very safe and popular sailing area because
of the favourable winds and the multitude of small, secure
anchorages and quays. Even so safety is of paramount
importance and an appropriate level of experience is
required. The RYA day skipper practical qualification is
normally adequate, or evidence of equivalent levels of
experience such as references from a yacht club. If you
have previously skippered a flotilla yacht in the area
then this could be the next step for you. For those
wishing to brush up on their sailing skills we normally
suggest that we provide a skipper for a day or two to
build up confidence and ensure safe sailing. If you would
prefer the security of a "live ashore" skipper to
accompany you throughout your holiday; then our resident
British skipper would be more than happy to assist.

charter, we are just a phone call away. If the problem
cannot be sorted over the telephone, we will come to you
as quickly as possible. Our Atlantic 21 rescue RIB is on
standby - and we do not need many excuses to go for a
blast across the sea!
