Tranquillity was built in America, shipped to Spain and launched there in 2007, sailed over the winter to Lefkas to start work in charter for the 2008 season. She has the American design traits of being well constructed, spacious, plenty of light and airiness down below, with good use of traditional materials like teak woodwork, and contemporary Corian worktops.

She is laid out with a great offset Pullman style double berth forward, with an en suite heads and shower, and two good sized aft doubles, one with en suite heads and separate shower, so sleeps 6 in comfort with sprung mattresses in all three cabins, and the option of another double in the saloon by lowering the dining table. Her Deck Saloon styling gives a massive 6ft 7in headroom in the saloon, with a dedicated chart table fitted with Raymarine chart plotter and full instrumentation. If you can wrench yourselves away from the great tavernas to be found in the area, the galley is well laid out for food preparation, with 2 bowl sink, built in waste bin, drained and ventilated crockery drying cupboard, two burner stove with oven and a great front loading fridge, and even a microwave for when you are on shore power! With her large windows fitted with blinds, plenty of opening hatches in all cabins and fitted flyscreens she has great ventilation, wind scoops are on board to help if required! A CD player with saloon and cockpit speakers can play your ipod music and a TV has a built-in DVD player. With a large domestic battery bank, supplemented by fixed solar panels, keeping the beer and wine cold is no problem!

Her large cockpit with full length (long enough to sleep out on if the weather is right!) seating, central single folding wheel and cockpit table, and great trademark pushpit seating, is a great place for sailing and socializing! A large bimini (we are fitting a new one this winter, with new cockpit cushions too!) with zip on side sunscreen panels for harbour use, and a sprayhood used more for shade in the summer than spray makes it a pleasant place to be. Tranquillity is set up for easy couples or even single handed sailing, with all lines lead aft, in mast furling main and roller furling genoa. She is a mainsail powered boat, making the jib easy and light to tack and handle, and when reefing only the main needs attention the jib can be left full until at least 2 reefs in the main, keeping her pointing well and making 7 knots to windward in the right conditions and more off the wind a bit where you could be hitting 10 knots! In the cockpit, there is full instrumentation displaying your boat speed, wind speed and direction and water depth beneath the keel, as well as the autopilot. She has the shallow draft keel option, which means you can go pretty much anywhere in her in the Ionian region without having to worry about the depth. And with 70m of chain and a very efficient Rocna anchor mooring is made easy helped by the powerful electric windlass.

As with all the Nisos yachts she goes through a comprehensive maintenance program in the winter, this year holding tank and all black water pipe replacement, skin fittings and sea cock renewal as well as a full varnishing program below, and all the usual engine servicing to keep her in tip top condition!
